Since 1998, Ziff Energy has been benchmarking offshore operations in the Gulf of Mexico and other offshore areas worldwide, in all water depths (Shelf & Deepwater). Our studies include offshore operations representing all types of production systems (fixed and floating), various qualities of assets, equipment vintages of all ages, and all stages of asset life (from mature low productivity Shelf fields, to new Deepwater semi-submersibles) and Floating Production Storage & Offloading (FPSO) vessels).

In addition to benchmarking Operating Cost and Cost Drivers (such as boat vs. helicopter strategies), we also benchmark metrics related to Uptime Reliability and Production Maximization. Performance in these areas is critical to offshore success, especially in times of high commodity prices.  We have identified best practices in various areas of offshore operations, such as supply logistics, transportation, well failure prevention, staffing effectiveness & productivity, and flow-line reliability.
